Gameplay
In Slither.io, your goal is to grow your snake, survive threats, and seize every opportunity to outsmart opponents. You begin small and vulnerable, collecting tiny glowing orbs scattered across the map. Each orb you consume increases your size, making you stronger and more intimidating.
However, size alone doesn’t guarantee survival. Every other snake is controlled by a real player ready to trap or outmaneuver you. A single mistake—letting your head collide with another snake’s body—results in instant defeat. But if you manage to make another snake crash into you, they burst into a trail of glowing orbs that can rapidly boost your growth.
Two types of special orbs add extra excitement to the arena:
- Dropped orbs appear when a snake is eliminated, creating a feeding frenzy for nearby players.
- Floating orbs drift around the map and flee when approached. Catching one grants a larger boost than ordinary pellets.
Success in this world relies on patience, strategic movement, and sharp timing—not just size.
