Face the terror of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2—track hostile animatronics, manage your tools, and survive each intense night from midnight until dawn.
Overview
Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is the second chapter in Scott Cawthon’s iconic horror series, bringing players back to a newly renovated Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The restaurant now features upgraded animatronics equipped with facial-recognition technology and a crime-database link. Everything seems safe and cheerful—until the lights go out.
You play as the new night guard, working from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM. Armed only with a flashlight, a network of security cameras, and a spare Freddy Fazbear mask, you must protect yourself from both the newly designed Toy animatronics and the returning, damaged Withered ones. What begins as a simple security shift quickly becomes a frantic fight for survival.
Surviving the Night Shift
Unlike the first game, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 removes door controls and introduces new mechanics focused on multitasking and fast reactions. Your survival depends on using key tools effectively:
- Freddy Fazbear Mask – Tricks most animatronics into ignoring you.
- Flashlight – Vital for checking the hallway and stopping Foxy’s attacks.
- Camera System – Tracks animatronic movement and allows you to wind the critical music box.
- Vent Lights – Helps you detect animatronics crawling through the ventilation shafts.
The music box is the most urgent mechanic. Failing to wind it will release the Marionette (Puppet), and once it appears, survival is impossible. Each night increases in difficulty, introducing faster animatronics, more overlapping threats, and tighter reaction windows.
