Play That’s Not My Neighbor and test your detective skills by spotting doppelgängers, verifying visitor IDs, and protecting your apartment building.
That’s Not My Neighbor is a suspenseful 2D puzzle and social deduction game set in a 1950s apartment building. You play as a janitor—or doorperson—tasked with a critical job: prevent shapeshifting creatures called doppelgängers from sneaking in by imitating real residents.
Gameplay: Outsmart the Doppelgängers
Step into the shoes of the apartment caretaker, where every visitor must be carefully inspected. Your tasks include:
- Observe closely: Watch for subtle flaws like mismatched clothing, unusual features, or strange behavior.
- Verify identities: Compare names and apartment numbers with your records, and call tenants if you’re unsure.
- Take action: Open the door for legitimate neighbors, or alert the Doppelganger Detection Department (3312) to handle impostors.
Levels grow progressively harder as doppelgängers become sneakier, requiring sharper observation, faster reflexes, and clever decision-making. Your survival—and the safety of the building—depends on spotting impostors before they slip through.
Characters
- Doppelgängers: Shapeshifters that mimic tenants. Spotting subtle mistakes in appearance or behavior is essential to stopping them.
- Neighbors: Regular residents going about their day. They may forget an ID or hat, but they are not a threat—unless you make a mistake.
