Deltarune
Step into the Dark World—Deltarune awaits! A mysterious journey, unforgettable characters, and choices that shape your path. Ready to begin?
What Is Deltarune?
Deltarune is a unique and emotionally rich role-playing game created by Toby Fox, the mind behind Undertale. While set in a similar universe, Deltarune tells a new story. You play as Kris, a quiet human child, who, along with their unpredictable classmate Susie, falls into the strange and magical “Dark World.” There, they meet Ralsei, a gentle prince who believes the trio are destined heroes sent to seal the Dark Fountain and bring peace to the realm.
The game blends humor, pixel-art charm, and thought-provoking themes—touching on identity, control, and morality—into an experience that’s both entertaining and meaningful.
How to Play
Deltarune is beginner-friendly and doesn’t require previous RPG experience. You control Kris and guide a party of characters through turn-based battles, choosing whether to fight, act peacefully, or use items and magic. Battles feature a “bullet hell” mechanic where you dodge enemy attacks using quick reflexes and strategy.
Some party members, like Ralsei, can cast helpful spells, while others, like Susie, might not always follow your lead—at least at first. Outside combat, you’ll explore colorful towns, solve puzzles, and interact with an eclectic cast of characters.
Highlights
- Memorable Characters: Form bonds with new allies like Ralsei and Susie, and spot familiar faces from Undertale along the way.
- Charming Pixel Art: Expressive animations by Temmie Chang bring every moment to life. Yes, she has a new hat.
- Challenging Bosses: Face off against secret and uniquely tough enemies like Jevil and Spamton.
- One Ending: The game teases a single narrative path—but the twists along the way are anything but predictable.
