Overview

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach is a survival horror game developed by Steel Wool Studios and published by ScottGames. As the ninth main installment in the FNAF series, it takes a bold step away from fixed camera gameplay and introduces full free-roam exploration.

Set inside the massive Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex, the game combines stealth, tension, and discovery within a vibrant yet unsettling 1980s glam-rock–inspired setting. The familiar fear of the franchise remains, but players now have the freedom to explore, experiment, and choose their own routes through danger.

Story

You play as Gregory, a young boy trapped inside the Pizzaplex after closing time. From midnight until 6:00 a.m., the building’s security systems activate, turning its animatronic mascots into relentless hunters.

In a major twist for the series, Freddy Fazbear is your ally. Glitching and malfunctioning, Freddy helps Gregory hide and escape threats, even allowing him to climb inside his chest compartment. However, Freddy runs on limited power, forcing Gregory to survive alone at times. The threat grows further with Vanessa, the night security guard, whose intentions remain mysterious.

The ending you receive depends on how much of the Pizzaplex you explore and the choices you make throughout the night.

Surviving the Pizzaplex

Security Breach focuses on stealth-driven survival and open exploration. Players can freely roam attractions, backstage areas, and hidden passages while avoiding animatronics like Glamrock Chica, Roxanne Wolf, and Montgomery Gator.

To stay alive, you’ll rely on a variety of tools and strategies:

Security cameras accessed through your watch to scout safe paths
Fazerblaster, a laser weapon with unlimited ammo
Faz Cam, a camera device that briefly stuns enemies
Environmental distractions, such as knocking over objects to lure animatronics away

Whether you choose to hide, run, distract enemies, or carefully plan your movements, staying in one place for too long is dangerous. Exploration is rewarding, but every risk comes with consequences.
