UFO Editor transforms the classic Geometry Dash UFO mode into a full creative sandbox where you design every challenge. Instead of playing pre-made levels, this editor lets you build your own worlds from scratch. Place blocks, add traps, adjust UFO speed, and craft unique paths that test both creativity and precision.
Designing Your Own Chaos
In UFO Editor, your main task is to create a level that the UFO must survive. You have access to a complete set of tools—blocks, saws, spikes, speed portals, modified UFO portals, and more. Each object interacts differently with the UFO, so combining them in clever (or devious) ways is the core of level design.
Experiment with layouts, build alternate routes, stack hazards, or create rhythmic bounce patterns that demand precise timing. Mixing these elements naturally improves your UFO control skills while inspiring creativity.
The Builder's Toolkit
- Play Button: Instantly test your level. The UFO falls downward and bounces upward when you tap the left mouse button or touch the screen, allowing you to dodge the obstacles you placed.
- Object & Portal Icons: Tap an icon to spawn the selected obstacle in the center of the screen, then drag it to any position.
- Arrow Keys: Move the camera to expand your building area.
- Settings Button: Change the background color to match the atmosphere of your level.
- Trash Can: Delete objects instantly. When the icon turns red, whatever you tap will be removed.
Tips for Building Better Levels
- Start Simple: Begin with a short section to learn UFO physics before creating complex stages.
- Use Speed Portals Wisely: Higher speed increases difficulty dramatically—great for late-level challenges.
- Balance Aesthetics and Gameplay: Clean layouts help players read the levels more easily.
- Test Often: After adding a new section, hit “Play” to ensure the level is possible… unless chaos is your goal.
- Mix Object Types: Combining saws, blocks, and portals keeps your level dynamic and engaging.
